Manual Orthopedic Traction Hospital Bed for Specialized Patient Care
This manual three-function orthopedic traction hospital bed is designed for hospitals, orthopedic departments, trauma wards and rehabilitation facilities requiring more specialized patient positioning than a conventional manual hospital bed. It combines adjustable backrest positioning, independent left and right leg elevation and bed height adjustment with a full stainless steel orthopedic traction frame.
A key difference from a standard three-function Hospital Bed is the separated lower-limb adjustment system. The left and right leg sections can be raised independently through separate manual crank mechanisms, allowing caregivers to position either lower limb according to different orthopedic care requirements.
Independent Left and Right Leg Adjustment
The mattress platform uses a divided lower-limb structure rather than a conventional synchronized leg section. Each leg platform can be adjusted independently, making the bed particularly practical when one lower limb requires a different position from the other.
Separate Manual Crank Control
Two independent crank mechanisms control the left and right leg sections. The leg adjustment range is approximately 0–40°, while the backrest can be raised from 0–70°. This configuration gives caregivers greater flexibility for orthopedic positioning, postoperative care and lower-limb rehabilitation.
Adjustable Backrest for Patient Positioning
The backrest section can be manually elevated up to approximately 70°, allowing the patient to move from a flat lying position to a more upright resting position. This adjustment can also support routine nursing, feeding and daily bedside care.
Full Stainless Steel Orthopedic Traction Frame
The bed is equipped with a surrounding orthopedic traction frame manufactured from stainless steel. The four-post structure provides a stable support system around and above the mattress platform and includes multiple adjustable mounting points for configuring compatible traction accessories according to clinical requirements.
Durable and Easy-to-Maintain Structure
Stainless steel construction provides good corrosion resistance and is suitable for repeated use in demanding hospital environments. Adjustable clamps and attachment positions allow the traction system to be configured for different orthopedic care applications.
530–730 mm Adjustable Bed Height
In addition to patient positioning functions, the complete mattress platform can be adjusted from approximately 530 mm to 730 mm. Height adjustment allows caregivers to select a more appropriate working level during nursing procedures, patient examination and daily care.
Designed for Orthopedic and Trauma Departments
Unlike a general ward bed focused primarily on routine accommodation, this model is designed around the requirements of orthopedic care. The combination of independent lower-limb positioning and a dedicated traction structure makes it suitable for orthopedic wards, trauma centers, postoperative recovery departments and rehabilitation facilities.
Hospital-Grade Frame and Mobility System
The main structure uses an epoxy-coated steel frame with a segmented mattress platform. Foldable aluminum alloy side rails provide bedside protection while allowing convenient access when required. PP head and foot boards are designed for routine hospital use and cleaning.
Central Braking System
Four medical casters support movement within the hospital environment, while the central braking system allows the bed to be secured efficiently after positioning. This is especially useful in orthopedic departments where the bed may need to be moved between treatment, examination and patient care areas.

A Specialized Solution Beyond a Standard Manual Hospital Bed
For healthcare facilities purchasing equipment specifically for orthopedic departments, the difference is not simply the number of adjustment functions. Independent positioning of the two lower limbs and the integrated stainless steel traction frame provide a more specialized configuration for orthopedic and trauma care than a conventional manual hospital bed.
As a medical bed manufacturer, we can provide different configurations according to hospital procurement requirements, including mattress options, traction accessories and other compatible components.
